Celebrating Our Community: Highlighting My Partnerships and Collaborations

At Not Your Average Book Club YXE, I wholeheartedly believe that community is the heart of everything I do. My journey is enriched and made vibrant through the incredible partnerships and collaborations I've established with local businesses, bookstores, and community organizations. As I continue to grow and thrive, I want to take a moment to shine a spotlight on the amazing people and initiatives that contribute to my mission of promoting literacy and fostering a love for reading.

Local Partnerships

  1. Leather and Lace Books: Welcome to Canada’s newest premier indie romance bookstore—Saskatoon’s FIRST Romance Only Bookstore! Since opening in June 2023, Leather and Lace Books has been stocking the hottest new titles in romance alongside some harder-to-find gems. Let them be a part of your love story!

  2. Baby Bean YXE: This delightful parent and tot play café launched in July 2023, creating an all-inclusive, judgment-free environment for everyone. Sydney and Colton, the wonderful owners, partner with Not Your Average Book Club to host family-friendly events like book swaps and festive gatherings with Santa. Join us for memorable experiences for the whole family!

  3. Shauna Hingston Photography: Meet the heart and soul behind Shauna Hingston Photography! Shauna is dedicated to capturing beautiful moments and preserving unique stories for families. She has been a steadfast supporter of Not Your Average Book Club since the beginning, authentically preserving our community’s journey through her lens.

  4. Kaleigh Liberty Photography: Say hello to Kaleigh, an amazing Saskatoon-based photographer and a passionate mental health advocate. Kaleigh loves capturing love through her lens, and she’s excited to meet new faces and capture familiar ones at our events!

  5. Cuggi Crafts Co.: Introducing the Crafty Cousins! I’m thrilled to team up with Katia and Arianna to feature our delightful creations, from keychains to custom tote bags. Stay tuned for our creations in this year’s 12 DAYS OF BOOKMAS!

  6. Danielle Marie Artistry: Danielle turned her creative outlet into a thriving business, offering fine art prints, bookmarks, stickers, and other stationery products. She’s passionate about sharing her love for art and hopes her work brings joy to others.

  7. Grace & Co.: Formerly known as Flowers and Rain Creations, this woman-owned, ethically sourced business brings back nostalgic memories with cozy crewnecks and comfy t-shirts. Grace & Co. aims to make you feel at home and connected to your favorite memories.

  8. DIYXE: Sheryl’s craft shop brings vibrant, personalized bookish mugs and items to our community. Her unique designs are a hit, adding flair to my events and offerings!

  9. Seams Sew Darlin: This charming sewing business creates beautiful hair scrunchies and accessories for book lovers who appreciate a little flair in their reading journey!

  10. Darling Creations by Jenn: Jenn has grown her Hot Chocolate Bomb business to over 50 stores across Canada! With high-quality ingredients and a unique twist on traditional treats, her products guarantee a delightful experience for every book lover.

  1. Knots of Love Embroidery: Kelsey creates stunning hand-embroidered portraits that preserve cherished memories. A proud women-owned business based in Edmonton, her creations are available for shipping nationwide!

  2. Lowes Sews: Danielle Whitney Lowes is the creative mind behind Lowes Sews, specializing in handmade, custom textile artistry. From pouches to book sleeves, her designs are inspired by her daily life.

  3. Bookish Essentials: Meet Rachel, a book-loving entrepreneur who turned her hobby into a small business, creating beautiful stickers and bookmarks that personalize your reading experience.

  4. BelleRose Floral Boutique & BelleRose Bath Company: Owned by Rebecca, this Rosetown gem offers not only beautiful flowers but also homemade bath products that elevate your bookish experiences!

  5. Craving Books: Lydia’s Montreal-based sticker shop specializes in bookish stickers and personalized designs, perfect for any book lover looking to add a touch of creativity to their reading life.

  6. Countryside Creations: Jordyn’s crocheting passion blossomed into a thriving business, creating custom pieces perfect for book lovers. She’s especially excited for this year’s 12 Days of Bookmas!

  7. Delta Skincare YYC: Founded by a mother-daughter duo, Delta Skincare creates natural skincare solutions for sensitive skin. Their products will be featured in every one of our 12 Days of Bookmas baskets!

  1. Pen & Page Bookshop: Located in Wynyard, Saskatchewan, this welcoming space is filled with new releases and beloved titles. I’m thrilled to partner with Tessa Jordan to bring the joy of reading to my members!
