How Do We Use Your Donated Books?
Reusing, Rehoming, and Reloving your Used Books

At Not Your Average Book Club YXE, we repurpose and rehome used books in various creative ways to ensure they continue to bring joy to readers.
Here’s how we utilize your donated books:
Blind Dates with Books: We wrap books in paper, indicating only the genre on top, and sell them as "blind dates." Some blind dates include additional items like pens, sticky notes, hot chocolate, bookmarks, stickers, keychains, and more.
Book Advent Calendars: We create advent calendars with used books, wrapped similarly to blind dates, and include other fun items. These calendars offer a delightful surprise each day leading up to the event.

Event Supplies: We provide wrapped books for loot bags or grab bags at events, adding an element of surprise and excitement for attendees.
Market Sales: We participate in markets to sell books at affordable prices, making it easier for everyone to access great reads.
Creative Repurposing: Books that are too old or damaged are not discarded. Instead, we repurpose them into ornaments, use their pages as wrapping paper, shred the pages to make confetti for book boxes, and more.
Our goal is to rehome, repurpose, and help people relove the books that already exist, ensuring they continue to be enjoyed by readers.
